Experience an evening where music, history and philanthropy meet! Rhythm & Roots will feature performances by legendary blues musician Mac Arnold and local jazz and blues artists, moving tributes and a celebration of Foundation For Black Philanthropy and a new generation of “Black Giving Back.” 

Be inspired by the music and by Charlotte’s Black philanthropic legacy as we honor the historical and cultural contributions of Black philanthropists whose generosity and leadership helped shape Charlotte’s story, with special tributes to visionaries such as Attorney James E. Ferguson II, Elizabeth Randolph, Lethia Jones Henderson, and Jimmie and Minnie McKee — leaders whose impact continues to resonate beyond their lifetimes.
