The African American Leadership Academy of Charlotte (AALAC) intentionally equips, empowers, and advances local Black professionals to strengthen the impact and pipeline of leaders for the public, private and philanthropic sectors. AALAC focuses on ensuring that there is a continuous pipeline of high-quality leaders for executive, community and C-suite roles in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.
With a goal to help build a strong, diverse community, this effort directly aligns with key components of the Mayor’s Racial Equity Initiative Focus Area 4: Catalyze Employer Commitment by advancing more Black and Brown leaders in C-suite positions and extending corporate policies for equity.

- Empowerment: $25,000 to $49,999
- Equipping: $15,000 to $24,999

Legacy Giving Levels (three-year commitments)*
- Leadership Legacy Donor: $50,000 or more for three years
- Empowerment Legacy Donor: $25,000 or more for three years
- Equipping Legacy Donor: $15,000 or more for three years
- Sustaining Legacy Donor: $10,000 or more for three years
- Advancement Legacy Donor: $2,500 or more for three years
- Advocacy Legacy Donor: $1,000 or more for three years

- Corporate Legacy Donor: $1,000 or more for three years
- Individual Legacy Donor: $250 or more for three years
* Three-year legacy gifts may be paid in one lump sum or over a three year period.
